Contemplating Life

Pondering -- Acrylic
Sometimes I feel like assuming a bodily posture that I then paint. When I painted this I felt like sitting with my head in my hand, tired of thinking.

Sitting -- Acrylic
This is very much like the first posture we ever knew. Everybody needs to sit like this some times, don't you think?

SI -- Acrylic
The red colors are only symbolic for pain. The painting is about self injury, there are some razor blades glued to the painting.
For this painting I first collected several art photographs, male and female, to be able to draw this posture. One feels so vulnerable being bent backwards.
There seems to be a blast of light coming from behind. It's direction is to the right, to the furure.
